Cape Coast, Feb. 20, GNA - A circuit court at Cape Coast on Wednesday granted Kojo Kakraba a 22-year-old mason from Saltpond GH¢500.00 bail for allegedly attempting to butcher his ex-wife with a cutlass.

Kakraba pleaded not guilty and is to reappear on March 11. Prosecuting, Chief Inspector Hope Azasoo told the court presided over by Mr Richard Asiedu-Badu that on January 20 the woman was returning home from work when she met her former brother-in-law weeding with Kakraba and entered into conversation with her former brother-in-law. He said whiles interacting with him, Kakraba kept on interrupting and this resulted into a confrontation and heckling between Kakraba and the woman.

Kakraba raised the cutlass and attempted to butcher the ex-wife but his brother prevented Kakraba from slashing her. He said the matter was reported to police and Kakraba was arrested.
