MPs Desert House

Parliament was virtually empty yesterday as majority of members travelled to their constituencies across the country to file their nominations with the Electoral Commission (EC).

The Second Deputy Speaker, Mr Kenneth Dzirasah, the Majority Leader, Mr F. K. Owusu-Adjapong, and 14 other MPs were the only ones present at the commencement of public business in the House.

The MPs present were mostly those who voluntarily declined to contest their seats and others who suffered defeat in the constituency primaries.
