Lack of accommodation forces headmaster, family to sleep in classroom

The Headmaster of Asonkwaa M/A JHS at Nkoranza South Municipality in the Brong Ahafo Region, Agyeman Kodom David and his family are reportedly sleeping in the office of the school due to lack of accommodation.

Mr Kodom said due to lack of accommodation his teachers are also facing the same challenge and even walk miles before they get to the school which is affecting teaching and learning.

“Myself, teachers and the about 1,000 student population lack basic amenities to aid teaching and learning. We don’t even have desks which compel students to bring stools to school,” he said.

He is, therefore, pleading with the government and philanthropists to come to their aid because the students’ population keeps increasing by the day.

The Assembly member for the area, Paul Kwaku Bio also appealed to the government to immediately help in the completion of an abandoned teachers’ bungalow for them to get access to accommodation.
