Kumawu is Under Military Siege

Kumawu in the Ashanti region has come under 8-strongman military siege since Sunday, 8 December 2013. The soldiers have privately been arranged by Kumawuhemaa to probably assist her impose her choice of candidate for Kumawuhene on Kumawu without going through the laid down traditional procedures on the selection and enthronement of a paramount chief.

Today, Monday 9December 2013,is scheduled for her to present her first choice of candidate to the Kumawu Kingmakers for deliberation on whether or not he will be accepted by them and the inhabitants of Kumawuman. However, she has decided not to go through that process but to forcibly impose her candidate on Kumawu whether or not the people will accept him hence, the military siege. He is the person of one Medical Doctor called Sarfo.

The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II with his Asanteman Council sitting in judgment on the Kumawu chieftaincy disputation, sought, but historically erroneously, to empower Kumawuhemaa to do as she is doing to serve their selfish interests.

In the meantime, I reserve my comments and the details which will be divulged with the passage of time.

I hope Kumawu citizens will not allow themselves to be short-changed that much even though, laws do not work in Ghana at the moment as they should.

I advise all Kumawuman citizens the world over to contact their relatives to know what is going on in Kumawu today, Monday 9 December 2013.
