Asante Kotoko will sign Charles Akonnor as their new coach on Monday, FootballmadeinGhana.com can confirm.

Both parties have agreed on the final drafts of a proposed contract and are ready to put pen to paper.

Kotoko have been in talks with the former AshantiGold and Dreams FC coach since the resignation of Paa Kwesi Fabin earlier this month.

Sources have now revealed that talks have concluded successfully with Akonnor expected in Kumasi on Monday for a signing ceremony.

“Everything is set for Akonnor to come to Kumasi to sign his contract,” the source told FootballmadeinGhana.com.

Akonnor, a former captain of the Black Stars has been out of work since his dismissal from AshantiGold for reported insubordination.

His contract with Kotoko will be for a reported two-year period.
