Kotoko coach C.K Akonnor hoping for another good performance against Hearts of Oak

It is generally believed that Asante Kotoko plays better and are luckier in Accra than at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi and head coach C. K. Akonnor is hoping the good run continues on Sunday against Hearts of Oak.

The coach who is coming up against his former side recalled how his side played well against Inter Allies and Black Meteors at the Accra Sports Stadium and he is hoping they can repeat the same performance against Hearts of Oak on Sunday.

“I noticed it when we beat Inter Allies and the Black Meteors in our CAF Confederation Cup warm-up games in Accra.

“The players looked relaxed and played very well. I hope we get things right as we did in those games.” C K Akonnor told the club website.

He also called on the fans of the club to fill the stadium as they were doing during their Confederation Cup campaign.

“I want the supporters to come and fill the stadium,”

“We saw a pool of red during the Confederation Cup. That is what I yearn to see.

“I see a tough game, but then, we are also prepared to take on the challenge,” he added.
