June 4th saboteurs will be crushed -Kofi Adams

The office of the former President, Jerry John Rawlings has indicated that it will crush anybody or group of persons who might attempt to disrupt this year’s June 4 celebration.

According to the former President’s office, some NDC party officials and government functionaries have planned to organize people to cause confusion at the event.

Spokesperson for the Rawlingses, Kofi Adams has advised the saboteurs to reconsider their decision or else they would be crushed on that day.

He said, “The Deputy National Treasurer of the NDC we were told that she sent a letter to the police that she wanted to organize women to go on a demonstration on that day and her request was turned down.”

“We are also very much aware that government officials are mobilizing some persons from Accra and Ho to go and misbehave at the function; what I want to advise these persons is to just stay home if they don’t intend to participate as believers in the ideals of June 4 which are probity, transparency and justice for all,” he added.

Kofi Adams emphasized that if people come there to misbehave they will incur the wrath of the good people of Ghana who believe in the ideals of June 4.

“If they come there to misbehave they will face the wrath of the good people of this country that I can assure them; we are there to continue to commemorate such an important day because it was not a day that just passed but a day that is intended to fight corruption.”**
