John Dumelo spotted driving Land Cruiser

Ghanaian actor John Dumelo has been spotted driving a 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser in Accra.

The development has drawn speculation on social media that the vehicle is a gift from President John Mahama as a token of appreciation for Dumelo’s support of his 2016 second term bid.

Dumelo has been more vocal in his support for the president as the 2016 race heats up.

The 32-year-old was a principal speaker at the National Democratic Congress (NDC) campaign launch held in Cape Coast on Sunday.

His activism for the NDC has, however, drawn vilification from members of the opposition, especially after he stated that he did not see New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer Nana Akufo-Addo winning the 2016 election.

Supporters of the Dumelo and the NDC are likely to interpret assertions that President Mahama bought him the Land Cruiser as opposition propaganda aimed at engendering animosity for the actor.
