John Boye: “Ghana is ready to face any team...”

Black Stars defender John Boye, who scored in the 2-1 comeback win over South Africa on Tuesday night, insists Ghana is ready to face any opponent in the quarter-final of the ongoing 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Malabo on Sunday.

Some Ghanaian fans and pundits are hoping the Black Stars avoid the Indomitable Lions or the Elephants, since Group D remains open with all sides in the pool, are level on 2 points.

“We are not avoiding any team. We are here waiting for everybody. That’s the most important thing for us because it’s a tournament. Now the morale is high and everybody is hungry. We are capable of meeting anybody,” Boye said in a post-match interview.

Ghana will find out its opponent in the last eight later on Wednesday after Cameroon tackles Ivory Coast and Mali takes on Guinea in Group D.
