It’s warped logic for uncompleted dams to harvest rain water – NPP Secretary shreds NDC

The North East Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Lawyer Sulley Sambian has described the National Democratic Congress (NDC) as an ignorant bunch who ought to learn about dams before making public their observation.

In his view, it is warped logic for the umbrella fraternity to expect dams that are under construction to harvest rainwater when the needed structures have not been put in place.

“Can an uncompleted Dam that has never harvested rain be described as having “dried up”? Me: Warped logic”, he said in a post sighted by MyNewsGh.com.

Addressing the Moment of Truth Series in one of the dams in Nakpachee in the Yendi Municipality of the Northern Region on Wednesday, Communications Officer of the NDC Sammy Gyamfi described the policy as a scam, a dissipation of the taxpayers’ money, insisting that the dams are not fit for purpose.

He disclosed that the Minister for Special Development Initiative, Mavis Hawa Koomson, and other government officials involved in the construction of the dams will face prosecution and possibly thrown into jail in a future NDC government.

But Lawyer Sulley Sambian indicated that the NDC and its propagandists are only promoting their ignorance and should have done the honourable thing by seeking for explanation where they were in doubt.

“If there was something about the dams they did not understand, what prevented them from asking the relevant authorities rather than embarrass themselves in the manner they did in their bid to score cheap political points”, he quizzed on a local radio station.
