Youth and Sports Minister, Isaac Asiamah has expressed satisfaction with the progress of work on the Koforidua Youth Resource.

The Sports Minister and his entourage were left impressed after a thorough inspection of the project.

Project contractor Emmanuel Ofei Awuku told the Minister the work is almost completed, having erected the four stands and done all the major concrete works. He promised to complete it in March next year.

The Minister said "In fact I am impressed, the contractor has really worked hard, he has promised to complete the job in time. “We have so many talents across the country but the platform to express themselves is non- existent. It is the reason the president considered it a priority to replicate these centres across the nation. As we speak, we don't owe any contractor, and l have told the contractor to add more hands when the need arises."

He added "The president said something in Parliament that he is in a hurry to develop Ghana; that is what he is doing. We want to leave a legacy." Consultant of the project, Joe Hackman pointed out constant monitoring goes on to ensure the work is completed on time.

The youth resource center of excellence has a standard football field, basketball, volleyball court, tartan tracks, a restaurant, counseling centre among others.
