I'll strip naked any policeman who misbehaves on polls day - Kofi Jumah

Former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Asokwa in the Ashanti region is warning of punitive action against any policeman who misconducts him or herself at the polling station during the December 7 polls.

One of such actions according to Maxwell Kofi Jumah is by stripping the law enforcing agent naked to serve as a deterrent to others.

The former MP was addressing party members at the campaign launch of the Sunyani West MP, Akwasi Ameyaw Kyereme at Atronie in the Brong Ahafo region.

He bemoaned what he said was the incessant stealing of ballot boxes in the presence of police officers at polling stations in the region and the culprits are left off the hook.

If this occurs in any polling station where a policeman is present, “I will remove your police uniform" Mr. Kofi Jumah vowed.

He therefore called on the Brong Ahafo police command to advice their men to act professionally to avoid incurring the wrath of the people.

For his part, MP for Sunyani West, Akwasi Ameyaw Kyereme blamed government for the investment scam that has brought untoward hardships on the people.

He promised a vote for an Akufo-Addo led NPP in the December 7 general elections will bring respite to those who have lost their investments.
