Black Stars goalkeepers’ trainer Richard ‘Olele’ Kingson says he is under no pressure in appointing a competent goalkeeper on Sunday for Ghana as they face Ethiopia in 2019 AFCON qualifier at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The Ghanaian team currently have three good goalkeepers in camp namely Richard Ofori (Wa Allstars), Felix Annan (Kotoko), Joseph Addo (Aduana Stars).

Competition has been keen in training since the new technical handlers took over the job.

With the absence of Goalkeeper Razak Brimah who was recently the number one for the Stars means that there will be equal chance for the two new debutantes and Ofori who was part of AFCON 2017 squad .

The former Birmingham City and Blackpool goalkeeper has advised the other goalkeepers to support any any one handed the starting role on Sunday.

“I want to build a very strong Goalkeeping department for the Black Stars,”he told Kessben TV.

“As a coach I am here to help the young ones to develop and the experienced ones to get their normal time.”

“My current goalies in the team are doing well and am happy with their working ethics in training ,But i know who to pick.I can close my eyes to Choose my No.1 goalie against Ethiopia.”

“I will urge all the players to support who ever start the game on Sunday for the nation and wait for their time their opportunity.”
