Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the NPP, has acknowledged God's grace in his life and urged everyone to believe in God's grace and the possibilities it can bring to their circumstances.

Speaking at a meeting with the clergy of the Ahafo Region in Goaso on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, Dr. Bawumia reflected on his journey, attributing his current position as Vice President of Ghana and flagbearer of the NPP to divine grace.

"My father was not wealthy during my upbringing. Reflecting on my life—the times I worked on a farm in Tamale to earn extra money as a child, drove taxis in the UK to support my education, and cleaned dormitories in Canada for sustenance as a student—I am convinced that my ascent to Vice President and flagbearer of the NPP is solely by God's grace," Dr. Bawumia stated.

He continued, "The path my life has taken convinces me that God's grace and favour are attainable for anyone, no matter their origin."

Dr. Bawumia then connected his personal experiences and the concept of divine grace to his campaign slogan, "It is possible." He explained that this slogan was chosen to mirror the grace of God he has witnessed in his life.

"For instance, before my election as the NPP's flagbearer, many publicly claimed it was impossible for the NPP to elect me as its leader due to my background. But my faith in God's grace led me to declare, 'It is possible.'"

"Now, some say it is not possible for me to be elected President. Once again, I affirm, by God's grace, 'It is possible.'"

"I selected 'It is possible' as my campaign slogan because it embodies the vast grace of God to make the impossible, possible."
