Henry Lartey is a comedian - NPP Youth Organizer

The Brong Ahafo Regional Youth Organizer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has taken a swipe at presidential candidate of the Great Consolidated Popular Party (GCPP), Dr. Henry Lartey for claiming that the NPP’s ‘1 Village, 1 Dam’ project will breed mosquitoes in the three northern regions.

According to Kwame Baffoe, the aspiring president could easily pass as a comedian and thus, should contact Kumawood to put his talent to use.

Abronye, as he is popularly called was reacting to Dr. Lartey's claim that has generated controversy and gone viral on social media.

The agronomist said the NPP’s promise of 'one village one dam' would provide a fertile ground for mosquitoes to breed in the villages so the party should be questioned.

He believes it’s just an empty promise to hoodwink Ghanaians to vote for them in the December 7 general elections.

''Does Nana Addo want to breed mosquitoes in these villages? Have they put in an infrastructure for feeder roads? Have they put in infrastructure to help farmers? What do they want to grow there? Just because you want to win an election, you are promising 1 village, 1 dam. This is not feasible. It is a hoodwink” he stated.

But Kwame Baffoe on Adom News said the comment by the GCCP leader exposes his ignorance in governance.

He said the NPP has done such dams in some areas in the north and it has not bred mosquitoes thus the claim by Henry Lartey lacks logic.

“I think Henry Lartey must meet Agya Koo or Lil Win for tutorials in comedy and join Kumawood because he is wasting his talent wanting to be president” he scoffed.
