Grant has improved Black Stars - Konadu

Assistant Black Stars coach Maxwell Konadu has revealed that head Coach Avram Grant has brought a different dimension to the senior national team less than three months after taking over the team.

The former Chelsea boss was appointed late last year to lead the stars at this year’s AFCON competition and has been mandated by the Ghana Football Association to do well in Equatorial Guinea.

Prior to the commencement of the tourney, many did not fancy the Stars to go far after the 2014 World Cup debacle but they have defied all odds and are in the last four of the competition.

Addressing the media at a press conference Coach Konadu said things are being done differently now under Grant.

"It’s like the preparation this time around is quite different, and that’s why some of us believe that we are going to do a very good job.

“This time around my boss, Avram Grant has brought a different dimension, and we believe that we will rewrite the script this time around,” Konadu said.
