Germany airlifts nationals from Cote d'Ivoire to Ghana

Accra, Nov. 12, GNA - The German Armed Forces on Friday evacuated a number of foreigners from the troubled Ivorian city of Abidjan to Accra. A statement from the German Embassy in Accra said an Airbus from the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Germany flew nationals of several countries as a shuttle service.

Nationals from Germany, Austria, Great Britain, Japan, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Switzerland, US, Canada and Iran were on the flight.

The statement said the German Ambassador in Ghana, Mr Peter Linder met the passengers on their arrival at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra.
