The Ghana Football Association has fixed a tentative date of 28th December 2019 for the start of various leagues across the country.

Initially the league was slated to start on 21st December 2019 but was pushed back.

According to head of Angel Fm sports Saddick Adams, the Ghana FA has been in hot discussions about providing the needed funds to help run the various leagues.

Ghana FA has proposed a budget of USD$10.8 million to Gov't of Ghana for the organisation of the domestic competitions for 2019/20 season.

Ghana Premier league alone was a allotted $2.8 million dollars to cover its organisation.

The Ghana Premier League season was truncated during the 2018/2018 season after an alleged corruption expose by investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas.

Since then organised football has been on the back burner with the closest we came to seeing something of a league was the NC special competition.
