GFA Elections: Nyaho Tamakloe cautions delegates ahead of election

Dr Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe has forewarned delegates to elect a new Ghana Football Association leader with integrity or else the country's football will be in jeopardy.

According to the former GFA President, the onus lies on the 120 delegates to choose a leader who can restore Ghana football to its glory days or the nation should brace themselves for worse situations.

"We have to be careful with the person we choose as the president of Ghana football. If we fail to do that, it won't take long at all and we shall be back into the same position we were."

The Hearts of Oak board member says Fred Pappoe who once served as the GFA Vice under Kwesi Nyantakyi's administration is the best man for the job.

"All those who are competing I don't know them apart from Fred Pappoe. I am cautioning delegates carefully especially the delegates we have from Hearts of Oak."

"If you cast your vote wrongly it will cost this nation."

Nyaho Tamakloe has further advised delegates going to cast their vote on October 25, to elect Kwesi Nyantakyi's successor to factor the past deeds of the Presidential candidates as he believes some of them have no business vying for the country's football top seat.

"Most of them (Presidential Candidates) just by looking at them I know they should not come close to football at all. What this new FA rarely needs is someone with integrity."

"If we fail to elect the right person, get yourselves ready for worse situations. Look at the contestants, their pasts and based on that, cast your vote."
