Communications director of Zylofon Media, Samuel Atuobi Baah, well known as Sammy Flex, has finally spoken on the reception and experience Ghanaian musicians received on the 24th August this year in Nigeria at the concert launch of Zylofon Media and Menzgold.

Sammy Flex speaking to Zionfelix on Radio Universe said the Nigerians were not familiar with the Ghanaian artists so they cannot be blamed.

He also added that he won’t accept the rumors circulating that the Nigerians were mean to their artists because some few African artists have also received cold reception in Ghana because their songs were no big.

‘Our songs that are played in this town and the artists we sent there to perform was the problem because most of the Nigerians didn’t know the songs and were not familiar with our artists which is normal so it’s not a challenge” he told Zionfelix on the Brunch2Lunch entertainment show

He cited an example that ‘We were in this town when Nasty C, a big act in South Africa came to perform but nobody moved to his songs because his songs were not big here. This has also happened to other foreign acts So I won’t say it’s a challenge’’ he added

The Head of Communication at the entertainment firm revealed that the concert was not purposely to challenge the Nigerian artiste in the country but was to advertise the Zylofon Media and Menzgold brand to the people in the country.

The host of Zylofon FM’s morning entertainment show further noted that after several analogies, he can say that the Zylofon media artistes not being noticed is acceptable because it will succour them to maneuver their plan the next time.

Sammy also noted that their launch and concert at the Convention Centre was very successful even though their artists had cold reception from the crowd.

‘Zion I would say this concert was not to compete with the Nigerians but it was rather a concert to promote Zylofon Media. We the members of Zylofon Media are pleased with the mileage we had in Nigeria because of the event.

It’s the fans of the artist that’s worried but not us. We now know the strategy to use the next time and also in our operation” Sammy maintained
