For the love of Counsellor Lutterodt

Love is patient and kind, love does not envy or boast, it is not arrogant or rude, says the Bible. But to the self-styled relationship counselor, Rev Counsellor George Lutterodt, the principles of love and marriage must be based on riches.

Counsellor Lutterodt, who may have found fame from jumping from one television station to radio stations preying on the vulnerabilities and insecurities of women, to him, marrying a poor man is a curse.

“If a woman marries a poor man, she will die early and go to hell,” he said in a recent video circulating on social media.

But for a man who calls himself a Pastor, did his Bible not said in Matthew 6:31-34 that “Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ “For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble”.

I am certain he was super rich when he married his wife. And if he were rich, why does he hop from one media outlet to another with misguided teaching and distributing his telephone numbers for people to call him for their counselling needs?

And, can someone close to him ask him whether he charges fees for the services he provides to the vulnerable people he preys on? If he is rich, why can’t he provide such services at free cost to the people he is seeking to assist?

What I find most disturbing is that he has gathered quite a following who think his utterances have some kind of logic.

Can’t he advise people to marry, make their own mistakes and use such to correct themselves going into the future?

Logic from the same man who also incidentally has said without shame, that children born out of wedlock are demonic!! Yes, I said it, DEMONIC!!! Someone should please ask his mother if she was married to his dad when she had him. We want to know.

Some other group of people proudly tout the mantra, “Free Speech is guaranteed”, “They’re his opinions, he’s entitled to them” I agree absolutely! Like I read somewhere else, Hitler, Al-Qaeda, Boko Haram and the politicians in Rwanda just before the genocide all had opinions… So let us not forget, opinions, like noses, can be slim, fat, broad, attractive, clean or downright disgusting and filled with snot…

For the love of money, dream on and do not ever give the hand of your daughter in marriage to a poor man, super rich Counsellor
