Fighting a tiny, unseen enemy; the war between humanity and coronavirus

The past few weeks have been one that will go down the annals of history as one of the most unforgettable ones. Thousands have perished and many more are still perishing. Businesses are on their knees. Gradually, the world's economy is crawling into a recession.

It is amazing how much most of us had underestimated microorganisms all this while; how we had thrown sanitation to the dogs until now. Today, we have seen how dreadful corona virus can be. It is literally the most feared name now.

The world is currently at war. We are fighting a common enemy now; an enemy whose name we all know but haven't seen yet. Humanity versus corona virus~ who will win!?

For the first time in a long while, the reset button of humanity has been pressed. All the hustle and bustle across the world has come to a halt. Everyone has been asked to stay where they came from; home. Everyone has been asked to pay attention to the foundation they have abandoned in their quest to be successful; the foundation called family.

We all have been asked to stay indoors so we are not attacked by an enemy we don't see.

Our fight against this unseen enemy has brought us back to our senses. We have realized how vain worldly possessions could be. When corona virus comes knocking at our doorsteps, it won't ask how much or little you have. It has shattered the class system. Both the poor and rich are running from this little, unseen enemy!

For the first time in a long while, the world is forming allies ~ not against other nations~ but to combat a common, unseen enemy; germs. China just deployed doctors to help with the Italy crisis. Russia also deployed military virologists to help with the situation. To hell with who is a superpower and who is not! Corona virus doesn't give a damn!!!

In the face of corona, there are no black or white deaths. It kills humans. To hell with your racism!

The virus knows no Ewe or Fante. It gives no hoot about who belongs to NPP or NDC. To hell with your petty tribalism!

For the first time in a long while, we are fighting a war of humans against non-humans; not humans against each other because of self-made labels that have divided us!!!

Courtesy corona, we know we all have a common enemy and that enemy is not a human. It is the little, unseen things. It is our greed. It is our selfishness. Our common enemy is the little things we do that put our neighbors in harm's way.

After we have survived this pandemic, may we never forget the deep lessons it came to teach us. It taught us to pause so we could reflect on the vital things we have always taken for granted.
