FLASHBACK: Both NPP, NDC MPs agree Kennedy Agyapong must be ‘tamed’ – Muntaka

The Member of Parliament for Asawase, Alhaji Muntaka Mubarak is on record to have said there was unanimity between the majority and minority sides of parliament on the need to whip his colleague, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong in line.

This statement by the Member of Parliament came after the murder of Ahmed Hussein-Suale, a member of Anas Aremeyaw’s Tiger Eye Private Investigative firm.

Following the murder of Mr Suale, a lot of fingers were pointed in the direction of Mr Kennedy Agyapong who on his Net 2 television station had called for the assault of Mr Suale after displaying his pictures on his media platform.

Minority Members of Parliament after the assassination of the investigative journalist, called for the arrest of Mr Kennedy Agyapong saying his actions may have instigated the assassination of Ahmed Suale.

Speaking on the position of the minority on Asempa FM’s Eko Sii Sen, Mr Muntaka said Members of Parliament from both sides of the house agree that the Member of Parliament for Assin Central needs to be checked.

Minority Chief Whip in Parliament Hon Alhaji Muntaka Mubarak, Member of Parliament for Asawase has said there is unanimity among lawmakers of both sides of the house to have their colleague MP from Assin Central Kennedy Agyapong punished.

Mr Muntaka was speaking on Ekosii Sen on Asempa FM following a press statement from the minority over the killing of Ahmed Hussein Suale, a protegé of ace investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas.

The minority said they are convinced Kennedy Agyapong must be arrested immediately over his utterances which they believe led to the death of one Ahmed Hussein Suale, a member of Tiger Eye PI.

“Ken Agyapong needs to be punished for instigating violence against Tiger Eye PI Members… Majority of NPP MPs agree with us that the conducts of Ken Agyapong are unbecoming of an MP and Parliament needs to check him”, Muntaka told Ekosii Sen.

“Excessive partisanship in Parliament and our governance life is destroying Ghana. We must work to fight it wholly”.

“I cannot say that Ken Agyapong is guilty for the murder of Ahmed but his actions not good as MP. Any lawful Country should questioning Ken Agyapong over the murder of Ahmed. His comments and actions uncalled for” Muntaka added.

“The comments & actions of Hon. Ken Agyapong are unbecoming of an MP and Parliament needs to bring him to book” he opined.
