The trending topic in Ghana now revolves around the illicit relationship between young women and old men who could easily pass for their grandfathers, on the back of the infamous Moesha’s explosive interview she had on CNN few weeks ago.

To this end, General Overseer and founder of the International Central Gospel Church (I.C.G.C), Reverend Doctor Mensah Otabil has cautioned young ladies to be ‘wise’ while in their youth so they don’t regret and hop from one church to the other to seek the face of God when no man is coming their way.

The revered man of God is famed for passing his profound perception on topical issues in the country and when the Moesha story started trending, he decided to throw in this word of advise to all young women out there.

Here’s what he said:

“Abundance comes, maybe when you have an abundance of beauty. …Sometimes you see an 18-year-old, 19-year-old, 20-year-old young lady going out with a 55-year-old man. You have an abundance of beauty, but you are not harnessing your moment well because one of these days, you’ll be 35[-years-old] and at 35, you’d realize,”

“Wow, I wasted my time on that old man!’ Now every young man who should have married you, thinks you are old, used, and discarded. That’s when people [ladies] start going to church, worshipping, fasting and praying and hoping that God will turn things around”.

Sharing these words of advice to his church members, he added that they must use their time and money very well not to stupidly use them nonsensically because no condition is permanent.

“Don’t be wasteful; don’t spend all your money on perishable and depreciating commodities – spending money buying cars, buying clothes, which devalue over time, and not appreciate in value. Be wise,” he advised.
