Cameroon share spoils with Burkina Faso in Group A fixture

Burkina Faso came from behind to draw 1-1 with Cameroon in the second Group A game at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Stallions put up a spirited effort to earn a point after conceding in the first half.

Cameroon captain Benjamin Moukadjo scored from a superb free kick after Jacques Zoua was fouled on the edge of the penalty box.

Moukadjo took the mantle upon himself as he curled in from 20 yards to beat Kouakou Hervé Koffi in post for Burkina-Faso.

The West Africans pressed forward in search of the equalizer and came close on few occasions.

Cameroon goalkeeper Fabrice Ondoa denied Paulo Duarte’s side from getting the break through with some excellent saves.

Center-back Issoufou Dayo finally got the equalizer for Burkina Faso after heading in from close range following a free kick from substitute Banou Diawara.

The results keeps the Group open after host Gabon and Guinea Bissau also drew 1-1 in the opening game.
