CAF lauds Kotoko CEO George Amoakoh

Asante Kotoko CEO George Amoako has been lauded for his shrewd leadership skills and enviable experience in the African game by CAF after attending a workshop at the headquarters of the governing body in Cairo, Egypt.

The ace football administrator, was joined by reps from Al Ahly, TP Mazembe, Zamalek, Enyimaba, Esperance amongst others at the Summit.

In a document signed by the President of CAF Ahmad Ahmad spotted by SportsworldGhana.com, the Kotoko capo was heralded for his long years in African football administration and for bringing such mammoth experience to the fore in ensuring the general betterment of African football.

“Your active participation in this meeting focused on the effective and professional organization of club completions in Africa, as well as your long experience as a club leader, have fundamentally helped to enrich the debates around the future of African football as well as that a reflection on a better module of management of the problems related to the participation of the clubs in the various completions of CAF”, read the appreciation statement by the CAF supremo after a summit where FIFA boos Gianni Infantino was also present.

“Rest assured Mr. Amoako that this inclusive and participatory approach is only the beginning of a constructive and mutually fruitful partnership whose main objective is to offer African football a better future, the one it deserves.

”Hoping to have the pleasure of seeing you again soon, please accept dear Chief Officer, the expression of my sincere thanks and to believe in the assurance of my perfect consideration”, concluded the statement.

This latest show of approval by CAF seems perfectly timed considering the Kotoko CEO harbors aspirations of having a seat on the maiden GFA Executive Council in the upcoming elections and will hope that such vote of confidence from CAF gets the attention of the delegates.
