Balado Manu should shut up and get lost

Our attention has been drawn to a comment in the press by Mr Stephen Balado Manu, a former NPP MP that our rightful criticisms of the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu and his partisan relationship with the ruling party which is against all tenets of truth and fairplay are intended to destroy the opposition NPP in the Ashanti Region. His comments are absolute rubbish and he and others are the reason why the opposition NPP is struggling currently as they have become radio and TV commentators instead of going on the ground and doing serious research into their current predicament.
It is nonsensical for any political party In Ghana to put all their eggs in one basket. To say that the Ashanti Region or any other particular region can win elections on their own for any party in Ghana is not only short-sighted, but its the politics of yesterday.We dont dispute the Ashanti Regon is where most NPP votes come from, but the forces of evil are at work and the country is in peril! all serious politicians must wake up to this!
Mr Balado Manu should ask himself, why are the votes of the party declining in the region from 80% in 2000 to 69.9% in 2012? .
Balado Manu and others who think like him are yesterdays men who do not know and are not aware of the serious politicking ,horse-trading and power broking going on the upper echelons of power involving people he thinks sympathise with them. He should take a close look to see what is happening and if he did ,he will not even talk.
We at the New Free Press do not have any prescription for the NPP since we are not their doctors but a serious political organisation should be broad-based and know who are its real friends in the political establishment are and who are really working against them. Mr Balado Manu should compare the votes in Volta Region and Central Region as against Ashanti Region and Brong Ahafo Region over the last 10 years, do a critical assessment of the roles played by chiefs in these regions then perhaps he would get a clear idea. He should do some serious thinking with his head and stop opening his mouth when he as nothing valuable to say!
The New Free Press has nothing to gain from damaging any political party, but its time we speak the open truth about the behaviour and modus operandi of some of our political leaders, chiefs and senior citizens and we will continue to do that.
