AshGold Communications Director Kofi Yawson has resigned

The Communications Director of AshantiGold SC Evans Kofi Yawson has resigned, GHANAsoccernet.com understands.

Yawson, who doubles as a sports journalist at Obuasi based Shaft FM resigned from his post following a petition by the club's supporters directing him and two other management members to step aside.

On Shaft FM's morning sports on Saturday, the Mr. Yawson confirmed his resignation from the league champions Ashanti Gold SC.

When asked whether he took the decision because of the calls by the supporters, Kofi Yawson said he resigned for personal reasons.

Ghanasoccernet.com tried reaching the CEO of the club, Kudjoe Fianoo to respond on the resignation of the Communications Director but at the time of publishing this story, his phone was off.
