A week dominated by controversies was finally brought to a close with a musical feast at the 2018 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).

Numerous musicians from far and near gathered at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) to celebrate talents that have blossomed in the music industry in the last 12 months.

But although the biggest aim of the night was to present awards to deserving artistes, the fashion police could not resist the chance to bring their expertise to the fore, even if uninvited.

Each year there are best dressed and worst dressed celebrities at the VGMA and this year was no different.

Whiles some of the celebs appeared in dapper outfits and presented themselves well, others came in weird dresses that one would find very difficult to comprehend.

Our focus, though, is on what our celebs wore for this year’s VGMA and you would do well to appreciate the fashion sense of some of our local stars.

There were lots of cheers and tears at 2018 edition of the Ghana Music Awards.

The overall Artiste of Year went to the late Ebony Reigns. She bagged four awards on the night, as well as Sarkodie.

The event as usual, began with the glam from the red carpet which saw celebrities showing off what they wore and talking about what they expect for the night.

MCs for the night were Berla Mundi and John Dumelo and the red carpet was hosted by Johnnie Hughes and Amanda Jissih.

There were many performances on the night, including thrilling performance from Fancy Gadam.

He pop up on stage wearing a smock. A clever way to portray his culture and it was so beautiful and catchy to watch. He was energetic on stage seeing him recall his old days, with some dance moves.
