Two teenagers who have gained notoriety in trading in human parts at Offinso in the Offinso South Municipality of the Ashanti Region have been arrested by the police, has confirmed.

Chief Superintendent Ben Wonkyi revealed to that suspect Osei Amponsah Klinsman and accomplice Nana Sarfo were arrested at Offinso Kokote while trying to sell human parts of to a plain clothed policeman who had been trailing them all this while.

According to him, the two including a third person said to be on the run were alleged to be involved in cyber fraud otherwise known as Sakawa and therefore sold body parts to their colleagues who needed them for rituals.

Their modus operandi was to exhume buried bodies from cemeteries within the locality and cut some parts including skulls which they sold at throat-cutting prices to their clients within and outside the Offinso Municipality.

After understudying their mode of operations, an investigator who posed as Pastor expressed interest in buying a human skull and other body parts which they expressed readiness to supply at a fee.

The suspects were said to have gone at the dead of the night to exhume the corpse of an old lady who was buried 8 months ago and took out her head and other parts and arranged a meeting with their new customer.

He arrived at the scene and after being shown the human parts, signaled his uniformed colleagues on standby who arrested all two except the third person who it is gathered got wind and refused to show up.

Chief Superintendent Ben Wonkyi disclosed that the matter is still under investigation and the suspects could soon be arraigned before court on various charges.
