Parliament approves Sports Ministry's Ghc36m budget for 2015

Parliament has approved the release of Ghc36 million to the Youth and Sports Ministry to cater for its budget for 2015, DailySoccerGhana.com can confirm.

According to 2015 budget statement, the amount will cover expenses for the participation of the Black Satellites at the Senegal 2015 Africa Youth Championship and other sporting national teams as they prepare for the 2015 All Africa Games in Brazzaville and the Rio 2016 Olympic Games qualifiers.

A chunk of the amount will also be invested in the rehabilitation of the Accra, Kumasi, Sekondi and Tamale Sports Stadia, and the construction of 5 new stadia in Ho, Koforidua, Bolgatanga, Wa and Sunyani.

Parliament is awaiting the submission of the Ghana FA’s budget for the Black Stars' participation in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations, which has been delayed due to undecided travel plans and pre-tournament camping base.
