Dereck Abrefa, winner of the 2015 Ghana Table Tennis Association (GTTA), Top Eight tournament, has vowed to extend his fine form to the 2015 All Africa Games (AAG), in Congo later in the year.

Abrefa, who defeated, Emmanuel Commey 3-1 in a competition sponsored by Stanbic Bank Ghana Limited, said he had learnt useful lessons iand ready to make the right impact at the continental event.

"I think I am in the best of forms having come out victorious in the Top Eight Competition, which saw the best players in the country competing.

This victory will put me in the right frame of mind as we prepare for the AAG. I must admit it was not easy coming up against Emmanuel Commey because we are all in the Ghana Immigration Service.

"I am not sleeping over this victory, i will continue to work hard to win a medal for Ghana at this year’s AAG", he said in an interview.

The GTTA Stanbic Bank Top Eight Competition saw the best eight men and women table tennis players competing for an enviable trophy.

It was also used as preparatory grounds for the 2015 AAG.
