The Ghana Table Tennis Federation (GTTF), is seeking partnership with its sister federation from Singapore for the development of the sport in the country.
The partnership will involve exchange programmes for coaches and technical officials, as well as participation in international competitions.
Mr. Mawuko Afadzinu, the president of the GTTA, told the GNA Sports, he had had preliminary discussions with the president of the federation and steps would be taken to establish a firm relationship with the Asian country.
According to Afadzinu, Singapore, which dominated table tennis at the competition, has made much progress in the sport in terms of techniques and player development, adding that going into partnership with them will help his outfit.
Commenting on the performance of the team, Afadzinu said though the team did not win medals, they had shown enough prospects.
He said Ghana had also improved in the Commonwealth ranking and was convinced that with the needed exposure and training the players would make a huge impact at the next competition.
