Bernard Mensah in the dark over Valencia interest

Vitória Guimaraes’ Ghanaian star Bernard Mensah says he only learnt of Valencia’s interest in him from the media.

Reports emerged in both Portugal and Ghana claiming the Spanish La Liga outfit were interested in signing the former WAFA attacking midfielder.

But he has confirmed there has been no official bid from Valencia.

“I have heard about the interests from clubs in the media but my focus is on my club right now and our push for Europe,” he told All Sports.

Guimaraes are not in the best of forms this season and their latest defeat to Sporting Lisbon has somehow dented their Europa League qualification chances.

But Mensah, who has scored four league goals in 23 appearances this season, says his side will push for European ticket.
