Marseille scouted on Acheampong in UCL

Olympique Marseille sent scouts to watch Ghana winger Frank Acheampong in action for Anderlecht against Arsenal during last week’s Champions League clash, GHANASoccernet.com can reveal.

Acheampong played in a left-back role and impressed as the Anderlecht conceded two late goals to lose 2-1.

He is also highly effective on the flanks and could be a replacement for compatriot Andre Ayew who is out of contract at the end of the season.

The 21-year-old has been linked with Paris Saint-Germain and AS Roma in recent weeks.

Acheampong has made 11 Belgian Pro League appearances for Anderlecht and scored two goals.
