Rahim confirms contract extension with Kotoko

Ghana international, Rahim Ayew is likely to stay on as Kumasi Asante Kotoko player after confirming talks to extend his contract has begun.

Ayew will be a free agent by the end of November after he signed a year’s contract to re-launch his career in Ghana.

But the former Lierse player’s amazing performance over the weekend against Hearts of Oak could have motivated the contract extension.

“Well I’m a Kotoko player and I don’t know what the future holds for me, but the good news is that we have started talking and we will see what comes out of the meeting.”

“I feel good playing for this team, I made a decision to come back to Ghana to play for Kotoko and I have not regretted that.”

“Though my agent confirmed that there are some clubs chasing me, I still think that if the offer is good from Kotoko, I will sit down with them and sign, I’m ready to play for them on any day.”
