Birmingham recall Koby Arthur from loan

Ghanaian teenager Koby Arthur has rejoined his mother club Birmingham City. He was farmed out to Cheltenham Town but has been recalled following an injury to forward Matt Green.

The 18-year-old's spell with Mark Yates' League Two outfit was due to last until January 2015.

Arthur made eight appearances in all competitions for the Robins (five in the league 2), with his first league start coming on Saturday in a 1-0 defeat at Luton Town.

A burst of four goals in five games caught the eye and Yates has been pleased with Arthur's contribution, primarily off the substitutes' bench.

Blues, though, have suffered on the injury front this past week.

Matt Green has been ruled out for a further two months, due to a patella tendon problem.

And that news followed on from Blues losing Lee Novak for at least four weeks, probably longer, and also Denny Johnstone.

So Clark has bolstered his forward options by having back Arthur, who can play on either wing or off the front.
