Italian Serie A side Catania have joined the race to sign Ghana striker Abdul Majeed Waris, Ghanasoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
The Italians have sent scouts to Gutenberg to watch the 20-year-old who has netted 13 times in 14 games for the BK Hacken in the Swedish top flight league.
Dutch sides Heerenveen and Groningen have been linked with the former Right to Dream Academy graduate but the Italians are likely to land the striker.
Though no concrete offer has been tabled, sources from Italy say Catania will officially announce a bid to sign the striker next week if he impress in the game against Orebo.
