  • Bernard Don Bortey has completed a move to Israel's most successful Arab club Bnei Sakhnin. The former Hearts of Oak player has penned a three-year contract with the club and will earn around $35,000 each season. Bortey has represented his country at U-17 and U-20 level but has since failed to fulfill his undoubted potential. He joins his countryman Kweku Essien at Bnei Sakhnin , who signed for the club earlier in June.

  • Chester City have made a move for Liverpool defender Godwin Antwi. The 20-year-old Ghanaian-born player is highly thought of at Anfield, but it is understood that they would be receptive to a temporary loan spell, if the player was agreeable, says the Daily Post

  • Hearts of Oak midfielder Kweku Essien has completed his move to Israeli side Sakhnin FC after a short stint with the dethroned Ghanaian Premier League champions. Essien,who was voted the Premier League's Most Valuable Player at the end of the 2006/2007 season,was sacked by his Bundesliga II side for non-performance after the winter break. He came back to Ghana to relaunch his career with Hearts of Oak. The deal was brokered by his former club Maamobi Midjitlland.

  • 27.06: Kaizer Chiefs’ defender Jonathan Quartey jetted out of the country last night to undergo a one-week trial at Danish outfit FC Nordsjaelland. The Ghanaian, who has Amakhosi’s blessings to go on trial, will play two friendly matches for the Super Liga side before returning to Naturena. Quartey joined Kaizer Chiefs as a 19-year-old in August 2007, on a 3-year deal after impressing coach Muhsin Ertugral in a week-long trial. He has also represented Ghana at Under-17, Under 20 and Under 23 level, but has yet to make his debut for the senior team. FC Nordsjaelland play in the town of Farum and play their home games at Farum Park stadium, which can seat 10,000 spectators. They finished last season in ninth spot of the 12-team league.

  • 25.06: Hearts of oak striker,Bernard Dong Bortey,could seal a move to Egyptian Premier League side,Etesalat if he passes a medical this week. Bortey left Accra last Friday for his medical and his stay at the club would be determined by the outcome of the test. He had already gone on a trials with an Israeli club but he is believed to be interest in a move to Egypt due to the lucrative deal involved. Etesalat escaped relegation last season by one point and want to bolster their attacking force before the start of the new season. Bortey has had unsuccessful stints abroad since bursting onto the scene after the 1999 fifa Under-17 World Championship in New Zealand.

  • Ghana international and Udinese attacker Asamoah Gyan is a target for Rennes. “He’s part of our shot-list,” confirmed Lacombe. “The striker I’m looking for is the one who will partner with Briand. A real goalscorer that could help him improve.”

The Bloemfontein Celtic striker is due in France on Tuesday with recently relegated Strasburg FC his first point of call. Amofah will then spend time at Hertha Berlin in Germany before having another trial in Denmark.

Agblexo signed a three-year deal with the former Belgian top league campaigners after helping Olympy to gain promotion.

  • Wigan Athletic boss Steve Bruce is eyeing a new defensive signing. Bruce's assistant Eric Black has checked out the Rennes central defender John Mensah. Bolton and Blackburn have also been linked with Mensah but Wigan have been initially put off by a £7m price tag.

Agogo, who got a brace in the Stars 3-2 win over Lesotho in the World/Nations Cup qualifiers on Sunday in Bloemfontein, only denied a move to the Egyptian side last week, saying he had no idea where the story was from even though he conceded that he might make a move away from Nottingham forest.

  • Ex-Birmingham goalkeepers Richard Kingson may join English "divisin 3" side Crewe Alexdanria. Kingson is a full Ghana International and has had no less than 10 clubs in his career, the majority in Turkey's top flight.
    With Crewe in the midst of a goalkeeping crisis, having only one keeper signed up for next season, the long term absentee Stuart Tomlinson, it remains to be seen who will start pre season in goals for Crewe, which is now only weeks away.

  • French Ligue 1 side, Olympique Marseille,have targeted Ghana international Moussa Narry, for a possible summer move. The 22-year-old Etoile du Sahel midfielder,has been seen as a replacement to Modeste Mbami who leaves after the just ended season. Narry,was part of Sahel's Caf Champions League winning team last year and played at the world club championship in Japan. He was part of the Ghana's squad that played in a four-nation tournament before the recently held Africa Cup of Nations on home soil in January.

  • 29.08: Egyptian club, Zamalek, are in advanced talks with English club Nottingham Forest to sign Ghanaian striker Junior Agogo. The Cairo giants are seeking to find a replacement for prolific striker Amr Zaki, who is nearing a switch to Premiership side Wigan Athletic. Zamalek, who finished third in the Egyptian League, are expected to wrap up the deal within the coming few days.

  • French club, Nice have released Ghana Under-20 defender Mohamed Yahaya after just one season with the club. The 20-year-old Ghanaian arrived in France at the start of the season but failed to break into the first team. A knee injury sustained in his first month with the club further dimmed his chances. Yahaya joined the club after impressing at the Toulon Football Festival in France last year.

  • Samuel Osei-Kuffour has been kicked out by Dutch giants Ajax Amsterdam at the end of the season for non-performance. The club had the option to extend the 31-year-old central defender's initial six-month contract by another two years, but opted not to ''after careful deliberation''.

    Kuffour managed to play twice in a Godenzonen shirt since his free transfer from Roma, last January, in part because of injuries. Kuffour has struggled to settle at a club since leaving German giants, Bayern Munich, in 2004 where he won six Bundesliga titles and four German Cups. He also won the UEFA Champions League in 2003 and added the then Inter-continental Cup to his silverware cabinet.

  • Accra Hearts of Oak prodigy, Tawrick Jibril has been handed a two-week trials at English Premier League giants, Arsenal Football Club.     His agent Saif Rubie said: "Given his form on the international stage, if the opportunity arose to play at the highest level, I am sure nobody would begrudge him that."
