Very Skillful, Aggressive, Very Quick, Good Combating, Good in Aerial Balls and above all Good Finisher Started his career at Liberty Professionals. He was in Ghana’s side at the Olympic Football tournament 2004 in Athens. Although contracted to Udinese, the Serie A side felt the young Ghanaian’s development would be better served by more regular competition for Modena in Italy’s Serie B. Herutrned to Udinese in the 2005-06 season He played for Ghana at the World Cup in Germany in June 2006 and scored in the Black Stars' thrilling 2-0 victory over the Czech Republic. - January 2003: Gyan is going on an outright contract and would be with the junior side of Udinese for sometime before he would be promoted to the senior side.
- January 2007: Joined Lokomotiv Moscow in the biggest purchase of the Russian pre-season. He moves from Italian Serie A side Udinese in a deal worth US$10.5m.
