More Information Retired in September 2007 and then in December 2007 Nyarko, who first caught people's attention as a member of the 1992 Ghana Olympic team, was signed by Everton from French side Lens to provide steel and hard graft in midfield after Don Hutchison's #2.5 million transfer to Sunderland. He joined Lens in 1998 for $600,000 from Karlsruhe, a surprise at the time given that he was injured for much of the two years he was in Germany. Paris Saint-Germain expressed an interest before Walter Smith moved in on the recommendation of former Everton and Lens star Olivier Dacourt. He rushed through a $4.5 million deal in the 2000 close season. However, the Ghanaian has failed to settle as quickly as expected and did not figure in the early part of the 2000-01 Premiership season. He threatened to quit the game in April 2001 after a fan ran onto the pitch in a 4-1 defeat at Arsenal offering to swap places with him. Nyarko was shipped out on a year-long loan with an option to make the deal permanent. He has now (2002/2003) joined Paris Saint-Germain. AchievmentsFrance -coupe de la Ligue (Lens, 1999)
