Ashgold maintains top spot on League

Obuasi, March 31, GNA - League leaders Obuasi Ashgold maintained the top spot on the log with an emphatic 2-0 win over Berekum Arsenals at the Len Clay Sports Stadium, Obuasi. After a pulsating goalless draw game in the first half where action was concentrated in the midfield with few scoring chances, it was the Miners who took dominance of the game in the second half to win the day. Two goals from Yakubu Mohammed ensured the much needed victory for the home team with the first goal coming in the 53rd minute and the second in the 68th minute.

With the comfortable lead, the Miners ensured that they protected their lead till the close of proceedings. At the Abramkese Anane Boateng Stadium, New Edubiase United FC spanked Kessben 5-1. Emmanuel Kwabena scored two of the goals with John Arthur, Nuhu Fuseini and

Alhassan Nuhu adding one each with Kwabena Edusei fetching the only consolation
