Gyan leaves out Appiah, Essien in dream XI

Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan has named his dream XI mostly comprising his favourite team-mates but found no space for countrymen and good friends Stephan Appiah and Michael Essien.
The Al Ain striker named the likes of Patrick Vieira, Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima, Cafu, Roberto Carlos and Germany legend Michael Ballack in is dream XI when he appeared on the Starr Chat show on Starr 103.5 FM.
Surprisingly no Ghanaian or African player made it into Gyan’s team and there was no place for the current best player in the world Cristiano Ronaldo.
With Messi up front partnering with Ronaldo and Eben Dida in post, Gyan’s dream XI was made up of established stars who had won either the World Cup or Uefa Champions League.
Below is Asamoah Gyan’s best XI players
Goalkeeper: Dida
Right Back: Cafu
Left Back: Roberto Carlos Central Defence: Liliam Thuram and Laurent Blanc
