Striker Kwesi Appiah remains a doubt for AFCON

Ghana call-up Kwesi Appiah has suffered an injury setback and remains a doubt for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

The 24-year-old striker came off with a knock at half time during Cambridge United’s 1-0 defeat to Southend United in League Two on Boxing Day.

He remains a doubt for their trip to Stevenage on Saturday.

Appiah, who plays in the fourth-tier of English football, was a surprise inclusion in Ghana’s provisional 31-man squad for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
