Kotoko withdraw from friendly against Edubiase

Ghanaian Champions Asante Kotoko will turn their focus to an international friendly with Ivorian side Tandah FC on Sunday [November 2] after a mid-week ceremonial friendly with New Edubiase United fell through.

FootyGhana understands that the game with New Edubiase to honour the 15 years anniversary of the chief of Bekwai will no longer materialise due to Kotoko’s demand of a GH?5,000 fee meant to cater for their costs in honouring the friendly.

The amount we understand, the organisers cannot meet hence the decision to call off the Wednesday ceremonial game.

The porcupine warriors will however continue with their pre-season plans and will host Tandah FC who placed 5th in the Ivorian League last season in an international friendly at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The Ivorians have been on a tour of Ghana since the past month and have already tested their strengths against Hearts of Oak and AshantiGold.
