We were outclassed by Korea - Princesses coach

Black Princesses coach Bashir Hayford admits his side were second best against Korea DPR in their 3-0 reverse on Friday at the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup.

North Korea’s No10 Ri Un-Sim scored twice to cap a fine performance and a late penalty from Jo Son-Yon condemned Ghana in Toronto.

Ghana could not build on their opening 1-0 win over hosts Canada must now beat Finland on Tuesday by more goals to advance to the knockout round.

Hayford admits his ladies performance was below par.

"It was a tough game and we lost to the better side. We were dominated the whole match. When you face a good team, you just have to face up to it,” a disappointed Hayford said.

“Winning a game, it’s capitalising on opponent’s mistakes, and we made more mistakes than them. Now we have to accept the result, quickly put it aside and raise our morale.”
