I thought he did well with the Black Stars when put out there in the qualifiers, but obviously chaos ensued. He is only a year removed from appearing 34 times with Real Madrid. It is not absurd to think a team that is pursuing him now could help rejuvenate his career. Besiktas, Olympiacos, or Trabzonspor would be great for him.
