Chief Executive Officer of Wa All Stars, Oduro Nyarko, has attributed his team’s 1-0 over King Faisal to the zeal of the playing body.
The 26th week fixture, which was played at the Wa Park, was settled by a second minute penalty from Abdul Ganiu Ismail and Nyarko told Citi Sports in an interview on Sunday the players were ready and willing to fight for a good result.
“Our determination to stay in the league did the trick for us today. There are just a few matches left in the season and every team wants to do well. We share that belief and that helped us today. We were resolute today and that really helped us.”
Wa All Stars are 4th on the league table with 36 points and they are very clear on wanting to finish in the top four at the end of the season, but Oduro indicated that winning the rest of their matches would be the way to their target.
“We are aiming for the top four, but that will be possible only if we get victories in our matches. We play Kotoko next and we must get the points from that match. Then we must move on to the other matches and win those as well.”
