Chelsea striker Bekoe considers floating status

Berekum Chelsea striker Eric Bekoe has revealed that he will pursue a floating status when he recovers fully since the Blues have neglected him.

The former Petrojet goal poacher alleged that the former Ghana top-flight champions have failed to pay his salary over the past eight months.

The 2007-8 Ghana Premier League top scorer said club officials have snubbed him and there is no need to return when he gets on his feet again.

“For eight good months that I have been sidelined by injury, my club Berekum Chelsea have ceased to pay my salaries. It is rather their PRO who calls to check on me from time to time,” the former Asante Kotoko forward told Metro FM.

“Right now I think I have exceeded the Bossman rule, per the sort of treatment meted out to me, so what I have to do after regaining my fitness is to appear before the Player Status Committee for my floating.”

He added: “There are so many clubs knocking at my door for my services both locally and internationally.”
