Malik Jabir left in the dark over recent call ups

Malik Jabir suggests his position as coach of the Ghana U23 side is being undermined following the call up of five players he doesn’t even know of.

The former Ghana international has begun preparing the Olympic team for a friendly tournament later this month.

The Ghana FA last week released a list of five players who have been handed call ups to undergo trials with the Black Meteors.

But coach Malik Jabir claims he wasn’t consulted over the invited players.

“I didn’t invite them,” he told Metro FM.

“I received a message not long ago but I don’t want to go into that.

“I don’t know where they are from and know absolutely nothing about their invite.”
